All SU Istanbul program students enroll in the pre-semester Signature Seminar Istanbul: Crossroad of Civilizations, Past and Present and the interdisciplinary seminar Contemporary Issues in Turkey.
Most semesters, the SUI Center will offer one or two additional tailored elective courses taught by a local expert, e.g., Democratization Theory in Comparative Perspective (Turkey and the Middle East), or Politics and Society in Globalizing Megacities.
In addition, all students are required to choose two to four Bahçeşehir University courses. Approved Bahçeşehir courses are available across a range of disciplines and subjects including: international relations, political science, sociology, Middle East Studies, history, geography, economics, management, international business, advertising and communications, psychology, religion, history of art and architecture, art and design, transmedia, biology, and engineering. Language courses in Turkish are also available.

You may also apply for a part-time internship (1–3 credits) to complete your academic program.
The minimum number of credits during the semester is 15 and the maximum is 19, including the pre-semester Signature Seminar.
